What are Semantic Information Management Methods?
Semantic information management methods include four main areas:
- Creating semantic models, or ontologies, of business domains
- Discovering the business meaning of data
- Mapping between the data schemas and a central model
- Leveraging the central model and mappings in systems development, data
quality, integration, or other IT efforts
