Launch of New Start-Up Unicorn™
A new generation of data infrastructure is being developed by Unicorn™
Solutions Inc., a new start-up based in San Francisco, California
and Jerusalem, Israel. Unicorn™, launched on 01/01/01, has not yet
released further details of its technology. The Company has identified
a revolutionary and comprehensive approach to managing and integrating
corporate data.
Unicorn™ was founded by Dr. Zvi Schreiber, a pioneer in the B2B
space and Founder in October 1998 of Tradeum Inc., which was sold
to VerticalNet in March 2000 for $500 million. Before Tradeum, Schreiber
was the founding partner of a consulting company, IsraTec.
Schreiber is joined by Co-Founder Rannen Meir, the visionary behind
AccessGear, a division of NDS Technologies. Meir was also a pioneer
of e-commerce security and data management solutions. Previously,
Meir served as VP of R&D at Pegasus Medical. Jonathan Beller,
who has previously served in senior financial positions and as the
CFO of the Israeli venture capital group, Jerusalem Venture Partners
(JVP), joins Unicorn™ as its Director of Finance.
Commenting on the foundation of Unicorn™, Schreiber said, "Unicorn's
data infrastructure architecture will provide immense value to the
world's corporations who currently suffer from vast inefficiencies
and cost in data management and integration. I am very excited about
the team we are putting together to execute on this vision."
Unicorn™ is currently based in Jerusalem's Malcha Technology Park
with a highly experienced team of 15. It announced today the launch
of a recruitment program for a full R&D team.
